Margaret Crowley is new to the UTA faculty as of last Spring. She came here from the University of Houston where she spent 20 years acting as Costume Shop Supervisor, Staff Draper/Cutter and adjunct faculty. She attended UTA as an undergraduate, completing her BFA in Theater Production and Design. After taking a year to do an internship with the Staatsoper & Volksoper in Vienna, Austria, Margaret attended UT Austin to earn her MFA in Costume Design and worked summers for the Santa Fe Opera. She then moved to Houston and took a job at the Alley Theater. In her 25+ years in Houston, Margaret also worked as a Costume Draper for the Houston Grand Opera and the Houston Ballet, and as a Designer/Draper for Main Street Theater, Stages Repertory Theater, The Ensemble, and various other theaters on the Downtown Houston and Galveston areas. Margaret currently resides in her childhood home with her 2 dogs.
