The College of Nursing and Health Innovation is hiring standardized patient actors for student practical experiences and exams.

A standardized patient is an individual trained to portray the personal history, physical symptoms, emotions characteristics and everyday concerns of an actual patient.

SPs are paid $15/hr for their time.  Great opportunity to gain valuable medical acting experience.

Technical Director for Red Door Escape Room – $40,000 per year  Posted 9/19/2018

Red Door Escape Room is a rapidly growing escape room company going in to its fourth year of business and is one of the most highly reviewed escape rooms in the nation. Red Door is known for the care shown to both customers and employees alike. Based in Fort Worth, Texas they offer their employees a creative work environment, ownership over projects and designs, and a youthful team atmosphere.

They are looking to hire a technical director who will be in charge of drawing and drafting for our escape room episodes. This role would be responsible for bringing concepts to life in a creative and immersive way by translating concepts into actionable plans for the Red Door fabrication team.

Requirements

  • Theater background with emphasis on set design and fabrication
  • Ability to create drafting and shop drawings that can be executed by Red Door design team
  • Comfortable with general carpentry and power tool operation (miter saw, table saw, drill press)
  • Working knowledge of construction materials and fastening techniques
  • Ability to work both as part of a team and independently

Responsibilities

  • Drafting and drawing episodes from start to finish
  • Producing high quality props, puzzles, and sets
  • Ensuring puzzles are being constructed as envisioned
  • Overseeing install of escape games and puzzles
  • Helping to keep the shop in good working order
  • Learning new methods of production

Full-time, base salary $40,000/year
